The Wodehouse Society: A Celebration of Wit and Wisdom

Welcome to The Wodehouse Society

The Wodehouse Society (TWS) is a social organization whose purpose is to promote interest in and research into the life and works of the incomparable author and humorist P. G. Wodehouse (1881–1975). Our society sports a global following. Members include prominent authors, researchers, academics, and devoted students of all stripes. Most of our members, however, are simply fans—in it for the laughs, sweetness, and light to be found on every page of the Master’s work.

If you’re new to Wodehouse, this is the place to find out more, for the man, his works, and his genius are all included here. Begin your journey with a broad browse of his wonderful world, and be sure to take a gander at our Resources page as you do so. Then consider joining us to support our mission. Whether experienced solely from your cozy armchair or in the company of fellow fans far and near, Wodehouse’s vast comedic universe is ripe for exploring.

Once you’re with us, join in the fun and camaraderie of one of our local chapters; contribute to Plum Lines, our quarterly journal, or to our website blog; or take part in one of our fun biennial conventions, a rollicking celebratory tradition not to be missed, with the next one taking place in November 2026.

So go ahead—delve into this website for more information and fun!
