Welcome! This website is sponsored by The Wodehouse Society (TWS)
and is intended to
encourage Wodehouse lovers all over the world to get in touch
with one another. You may have begun reading Wodehouse's books
after watching the television show "Jeeves and Wooster" or you may
have been reading them since you were a wee bairn, but regardless
of your current level of familiarity with Plum's works, this
website will enable you to share your appreciation of perhaps
the greatest of all 20th century English humorists with other
like-minded souls.
News Bulletin: The Wodehouse Society is installing a historical marker
at the churchyard in Remsenburg, Long Island, New York where Plum
and Ethel Wodehouse are buried. The marker will be dedicated on Sunday,
April 22, 2012. TWS will charter a bus from downtown Manhattan to Remsenburg
for the dedication. Bus reservations must be made by February 13;
click here for instructions and more details about the
other activities of the April 22 weekend.
News Bulletin: The Wodehouse Society is holding a contest for
the design of a new logo for TWS. Click here for details.
News Bulletin: In the Autumn 2011 issue of its quarterly journal,
Plum Lines, The Wodehouse Society included a very special gift to
its members in honor of P. G. Wodehouse's 130th birthday: a painstaking
recreation of two pages from Galahad Threepwood's Reminiscences
(previously thought to have been eaten by the Empress of Blandings and
recently discovered in her old sty) enclosed in a limited edition
commemorative cover (i.e., envelope) bearing a gorgeous P. G. Wodehouse
stamp, the whole produced for us by renowned cinderella stamp artificer,
Mr Bernard Pearson of Wincanton, Somerset, England. There were but 600
of these commemorative covers made. Most of these were distributed to
TWS members in September 2011; the remaining stock will be sent to new
members (one per address, of course) as a bonus while supplies last.
