In this Princess Theatre musical, a young couple's upcoming marriage is hindered by the groom's former flame, his ex-con valet, and the valet's sticky-fingered sweetheart. Music is by Jerome Kern, lyrics by Wodehouse, and book by Wodehouse and Guy Bolton. "Bill" originally appeared in this show, but was cut in out-of-town tryouts; the 42nd Street Moon will restore it to the second act! Wodehouse later adapted this plot (very roughly) into the book "The Small Bachelor."
