  6. Fuller, if not yet complete, details below:
If you recall your most recent Plum Lines with Jeeves-like brain-power, you will remember that on page 9 of that esteemed publication there was a enticing notice of the 22 April 2012 event in Remsenburg, NY, on Long Island, to dedicate a historical marker at the Remsenburg Community Church at which Plum and Ethel Wodehouse are buried.

You may also recall that Sitting Pretty is playing off-Broadway that weekend as well as a Broadway production of Anything Goes, and a Gershwin show, Nice Work If You Can Get It, is opening at the Imperial Theater on the 24th of April and it will be in previews. The TWS Chapter in New York City, the Broadway Special, is having a dinner get-together that will attract a crowd on Saturday night (21 April) before Sitting Pretty. There may be more going on besides, if you will be loitering about the City before the dedication.

And if you wish to ride in comfort and style from downtown Manhattan to Remsenburg, and do not plan to take the LIRR or a private car, then TWS is offering a bus trip for $45 per person. Exact details are not yet finalized but we will leave the City around 9 AM Sunday, arriving in Remsenburg in time for the ceremony. There will be a reception with refreshments in Remsenburg after the dedication. We plan to take a short bus tour of the local Wodehouse-related sites there and return to the City in time for dinner. Tony Ring has graciously agreed to act as MC for the bus riders’ Wodehouse-related entertainment. You should not count on getting back before 7 PM, however, so a Sunday evening show might be a risky venture. You may bring a take-out lunch or snack on the bus but, please, no alcoholic beverages. The Winter 2011 Plum Lines, on page 10, also explains how to get your copy of A Guide to P. G. Wodehouse’s New York City and Long Island which will be a great thing to have along on this weekend Wodehouse adventure. (For more info on how to get the Guide, ask Neil.)

We need to know who wants a seat in time to arrange the right size bus. To be sure of a seat, send your $45.00 per person to Kris Fowler, as a check made payable to The Wodehouse Society, annotated for NYC bus transport, at 1388 Wellesley Avenue, Saint Paul MN 50105-2417 or use the PayPal account service described above. Complete the process by sending Kris an e-mail at krisfowler13@gmail.com with the real names of the riders for whom the payment has been sent and provide an e-mail address for receipt of the final details and, if possible, a mobile phone number for use that weekend in NYC if there are any last minute changes. We need to know rather promptly too, so please respond by 13 February 2012.
